If you are looking for a truly authentic Lisbon dining experience, Adega das Gravatas is a must-visit. It was recently ranked 24th out of the top 100 most authentic restaurants in the world, and it’s easy to see why. This is a spot clearly geared toward locals; don't expect English menus or fluent English service, but in the age of Google Translate, you’ll manage just fine. I visited Adega das Gravatas and had the octopus lagareiro and the shrimp açorda. Both dishes were delicious, very flavorful, and well prepared. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
